The Barn is a high quality
conversion of the main farm building, constructed
principally of local stone, slate, oak and larch. The internal fittings in the
barn are of the highest quality, including under floor heating downstairs, washing machine dryer, dishwasher,
coffee maker, wood burner, LCD TV, oak framed beds, Egyptian
cotton sheets and towels.
From the outset the objective was
to create a conversion which would attract small groups
of
people who would appreciate the privacy that the property
offers. There are two double bedrooms each with en-suite facilities, separated by a central hall and stairs leading
to the main living area, which is on the upper floor.
Outside guests are free to wander over
the farm land, enjoy the river meadows, woodland walks and paths. Picnics on the river bank are popular. There are
numerous activities in the valley. Riding, fishing, boating
or a variety of country pursuits can easily be arranged. The
beaches of both Devon and Cornwall are nearby as is the
Dartmoor National Park.
Prices range from £650 mid season to £850 in the high season.
Weekend and short breaks from £350 for 3 nights. Pets are not allowed and
the property is not suitable for children due to the
proximity of ponds and the river.
